Rel Infra Q2 net profit grows

Anil Ambani group company Reliance Infrastructure has reported a growth of 11 per cent in net profit at Rs 360 crore.

Anil Ambani group company Reliance Infrastructure has reported a growth of 11 per cent in net profit at Rs 360 crore for the July-September quarter as against a profit of Rs 325 crore during the same period last year. Total operating income of the company was Rs 4,043 crore for the quarter ended September 30,a growth of about 2 per cent as compared to Rs 3,974 crore it had reported during the same quarter of 2009-10. The order book of the company for its EPC (engineering,procurement and contract) business was Rs 24,000 crore at the end of the July-September quarter,the company said in a statement.

The EPC division of the company is working on 6 power projects of over 7,500 MW along with 6 road projects,the statement added. For the April-September period,the company reported a net profit of Rs 735.48 crore,a growth of 8 per cent compared to the net profit of Rs 680.48 crore it had posted during the same period in 2009-10.

“The company is developing 25 projects aggregating around Rs 40,000 crore of roads,metro rails,transmission,sea link and airports,excluding distribution business and 2 specialty real estate projects,” the statement said. Besides this,there would be 12 revenue generating projects in 2010-11,having project outlay of around Rs 20,000 crore,the statement added.The company also said that the Delhi Metro Airport Express project is ready for commercial operations and it is waiting for fire and safety clearances from the regulatory authorities. mumbai: Anil Ambani group company Reliance Infrastructure has reported a growth of 11 per cent in net profit at Rs 360 crore for the July-September quarter as against a profit of Rs 325 crore during the same period last year. RPower net jumps 21 pc

Reliance Power of the ADAG has posted a net profit of Rs 235 crore for the quarter ended September 30,2010,a jump of 21 per cent against the same period in the last fiscal. It had recorded a net profit of Rs 194 crore in the period ended September 30,2009. Total income of the company more than doubled to Rs 512 crore during the quarter from Rs 246 crore in the same quarter last fiscal,it said.
