Publish tariff plans: Trai to telcos

The telecom regulator on Monday told operators to publish details of their tariff plans at their outlets and customer assistance centres and on their websites.

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India directed operators to list items of use along with tariffs in tabular form. All the tariff plans meant for pre-paid and post-paid subscribers shall be published in separate formats, Trai said.

It added: These formats shall contain all the tariff plans offered by the Telecom access service provider in a service area covering all tariff items along with tariff for the same in tabular formats at one place for facilitating easy comparison across tariff plans.
