Principal held for raping minor

The Jaipur police on Friday arrested the principal of a secondary school for allegedly raping a 15-year-old girl on the school premises for two consecutive days.

According to the police,the victim who was sexually assaulted on Thursday was too afraid to inform her parents. However,her parents alerted the police after she was allegedly raped again on Friday and bore injuries that came to their notice.

Jaipur Superintendent of Police SP,North,Ashok Narooka said that the accused,Ramesh Chand Saini 40,was arrested on Friday after a mob thrashed him and handed him over to the police. The accused was produced in court on Saturday and sent to judicial custody. While the medical tests on the girl were conducted on Friday,the results will be out on Monday, Narooka said. He said that the victims statement was recorded on Saturday after her mother filed an FIR the day before.

Additional SP North Anil Gothwal said that Saini had,on Thursday,lured the girl into a room in the school,gagged her and raped her. The girl did not tell her parents on Thursday as the accused had threatened to kill her if she spoke about the incident, Gothwal said.
