Launching a counter-attack against the government after CBI moved against his close aide for alleged forgery of education degree,Baba Ramdev on Monday used former telecom minister A Rajas statement in court to demand the resignation of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Home Minister P Chidambaram.

Speaking to reporters here,Ramdev said the government was conspiring against him and his associates in order to crush the campaign launched by him against corruption and black money.

But this government obviously wants to cover up corruption. Today even A Raja has said that the 2G spectrum allocation was done with the consent of the Prime Minister and the then Finance Minister P Chidambaram. Why should the role of these two gentlemen not be probed? he asked.

Describing the entire case against his aide Acharya Balkrishna as fabricated,Ramdev said had his associates degrees been fake he would not have attached them with his application to obtain a passport. You do not require degrees to get a passport. Even illiterates are entitled to a passport. What benefit would one get by attaching fake degree? he said.
