Panic after Kolkata building catches fire

There were no casualties or injuries reported since offices were closed on Sunday. The exact cause of fire is yet to be ascertained. Some TV channels reported that smoke was billowing from the basement of the building. Later,firemen described that report as incorrect.

A Apeejay Surrendra Group spokesperson said that the fire was first noticed by the buildings security personnel who switched off the electricity and called the fire brigade,which reached within 10 minutes.
