Orissa town gets institute for budding plumbers

The state8217;s first institute for plumbing technology was today thrown open to enhance skill of the next generation of plumbers.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the State Institute of Plumbing Technology SIPM near Pattamundai and dedicated it to skilled plumbers from Kendrapara district who have earned countrywide name and fame for their dexterity.

8220;It was a much-awaited project in Kendrapara as this area has thousands of persons living on plumbing trade. Their presence is visible countrywide. Thus this institute would give boost to plumbing-based economy in several villages,8221; Patnaik said.
