Orissa will continue to reel under flood for 24 more hours as a swollen Bay of Bengal on a new moon day prevented discharge of water from the flooded Baitarani,Brahmani and Kharasrota rivers. The toll in the second spell of flood has gone up to 27. Special Relief Commissioner P K Mohapatra said most rivers were flowing below danger level, but water level has not gone down considerably in flooded plains as high tides in the sea kept pushing floodwater back to the rivers. Bari block in Jajpur is the worst-affected area.
