Wedding event at Gandhi’s Kocharab Ashram

He recently organised the Sangeet Sandhya and the grahsthapan programme of the younger son in the Activity Centre located on the Kochrab premises. Both the ashram and the Activity Centre are separate buildings on the Kochrab premises. Wedding songs were played and food arrangements were made during the Sangeet Sandhya. Since it was an evening programme, light and sound arrangements were made accordingly. For the Vidhapith’s employee, it was a family event according to the rules of the Vidyapith, not for private people or for financial gain. Gandhiji believed that the occasion of an ashram resident or employee was an occasion for everyone,” an official statement issued by the Gujarat Vidyapith said. Kochrab Ashram is managed by Gujarat Vidyapith – both institutes established by Mahatma Gandhi.
