Not heat,boycott mars voting

Bhind,which saw sporadic skirmishes,saw the lowest turnout at 34.35 per cent. Yashodhra Raje’s Gwalior constituency recorded the second lowest polling at 35.54 per cent, Morena,from where BJP state president Narendra Singh Tomar is a candidate,recorded a turnout of little over 47 per cent. While Khargone reported 56.17 per cent polling,the other two constituencies where more than 54 per cent voters turned out were Dewas and Khandwa. Voters in as many as 28 booths across the state boycotted poll citing politicians’ inability to attend to issues like electricity and water. One person was injured when a constable fired to separate two caste groups that engaged in violence in Morena.

The Congress demanded the arrest of BJP MLA from Ater Arvind Bhadoria and his supporters alleging they fired at a Congress polling agent in Sumawali booth of Morena constituency.
