Nestle India net slips 6.74 per cent in Q4

FMCG major Nestle India Ltd on Friday said its net profit declined 6.74 per cent to Rs 112.92 crore in the fourth quarter ended December 31,2009,over the corresponding period a year ago. The company had a net profit of Rs 121.09 crore during the same quarter last year,Nestle India said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange BSE. Total income rose to Rs 1,362.35 crore in the quarter under review from Rs 1,103.01 crore in the same period previous year. For the year ended December 31,2009,net profit jumped to Rs 655 crore from Rs 534.08 crore in the previous year. Total income climbed up to Rs 5,167.17 crore.
