Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Home Minister Uma Shankar Gupta had a narrow escape Sunday when a door of their helicopter opened midair soon after take off,forcing the pilot to return to the helipad and land.
Police sources said the two leaders had boarded the chopper for going to Jawad after taking part in a programme organised by BJPs Minority Cell at Nasrullaganj in the district.
However,a door of the choppers luggage compartment suddenly fell open after the aircraft took off following which the pilot decided to return and landed the helicopter safely at the helipad,they said.
Although the problem was rectified,the chief minister returned to Bhopal instead of going to Jawad,the sources added.
