One is the original Disco king and the other,a world renowned jazz musician. So when Bappi Lahiri and thrice-Grammy nominee Gerald Albright,get together,there is bound to be fireworks. An international album,titled World Peace Love And Harmony is coming up from Bappi Lahiri,who besides playing the tabla for the album for the first time in his career has also composed and sung on the album. The unique album has Bappis compositions backed by Gerald Albrights jazz music. The famed international singers Water Sisters,are also part of this exotic fusion. Working with Gerald Albright and the other Western musicians was an unforgettable and enriching experience. It is always a great pleasure to be working with a musician of his calibre. Creating this album has really been the best experience of my life, said Bappi. This is our attempt to make people aware of the great need for peace,love and harmony between people,countries,races and religions, he added. The album will be released in America later this year.Bappi Lahiri has also roped in famed Mohan Veena ace and Grammy winner Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt,who flew down to Mumbai for the recording at Empire Studio on April 21.
