Mumbai HC: Case status updates through SMS

The Bombay High Court will launch on August 15 a SMS-based service through which litigants can enquire about case status using mobile phones.

The SMS messages should be sent to 09212357123 in a prescribed format and a reply would be received instantly. In a press release,Deputy Registrar IT Kiran Bobade said detailed case type lists had been put up on the High Court website http://bombayhighcourt.nic.in. Chief Minister Ashok Chavan will inaugurate the service Sunday in the presence of Chief Justice Mohit Shah. The service,developed with assistance of National Informatics Centre,will be an add-on to existing web-based and phone 22673090 services.
