Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Friday said involvement of Hindu outfits could not be ruled out in Wednesday’s blasts in Mumbai.

Asked if he suspected the involvement of Hindu outfits in the latest Mumbai blasts,Singh told The Indian Express: “Nothing can be ruled out. We should allow the NIA and Anti-Terrorism Squad of Maharashtra to do their jobs. But we cannot rule out anything.”

Singh, who claims to be the first to have gone public about “Hindu terror” phenomenon, also sought to drag the BJP into investigations of previous blasts, saying the National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into the 2007 murder of RSS activist Sunil Joshi might “establish” some BJP leaders’ links.

He offered to testify before the court on the involvement of RSS activists in terror-related activities. Singh has maintained that when he was Madhya Pradesh chief minister,he had come to know of the terror activities of RSS activists like Joshi. “If I am called (by the court),whatever information I have,I would love to share with everyone under oath.”

“The NIA is investigating the murder of Sunil Joshi. If it is investigated intensely, exhastively,I think some connection may be established to some in the BJP leadership… if you see,the moment (slain Maharashtra ATS chief) Hemant Karkare arrested Pragya Thakur,Dayanand Pandey and (Lt Col Prasad Srikant) Purohit, the whole BJP was up in arms. Advani led a delegation to the PM to stop the ATS Maharashtra from investigating. Narendra Modi called Karkare deshdrohi,an anti-national. Then again,in the case of (co-accused) Swami Aseemanand, the BJP went overboard to defend him,but kept quiet after his confession. Rajnath Singh met Pragya Thakur. What does it signify?” said Singh.
