A 12 year old girl was allegedly raped at knife-point by a teenager,in a residential colony in Haryanas Yamunanagar district Saturday.
Based on a complaint by the girls father,the Yamunanagar district police on Sunday booked the teenager,who is 17 years and nine months old. After being booked,he was sent to juvenile home.
According to the police,the accused allegedly kidnapped the girl from her home when she was alone. He took her to his residence in the neighbourhood and raped her at knife-point. Later,he threatened her with dire consequences and asked her to keep mum about the incident.
When the girls parents returned home,they found their daughter in shock. On repeatedly asking her,she broke down and narrated the incident. A complaint was lodged with the police and the victim was medically examined,which confirmed rape, a police officer said. The accused was booked. Since he is a juvenile,he was produced in the court Sunday and sent to juvenile home, he added.
