Mahesh Kothari Share & Stock Brokers is defaulter: BSE

'Those members/investors are required to immediately file their claims.'

Mahesh Kothari Share & Stock Brokers has been held a defaulter with effect from Tuesday,for violating rules and regulations of the exchange.

“BSE Ltd has declared Mahesh Kothari Share & Stock Brokers Pvt Ltd,a corporate trading member of the exchange,a defaulter,with effect from Tuesday,September 25,2012 under the Rules,Bye-laws and Regulations of the exchange,” it said in a statement.

The exchange said,those members/investors who have any outstanding claims against the defaulter are required to immediately file their claims and obtain arbitration awards,to be then put up before the defaulters committee for its consideration.

If no such claim was put up within six months from the date of declaration of default,the committee would not entertain the claims of such members/investors at a later date,it said.

Those members/investors who have already obtained such arbitration awards in their favour,but have not put up their claims,were also required to put up the same before the committee within two months of the announcement.
