Soha Ali Khan rarely steps into her kitchen but the actress recently donned the apron.
An amateur cook
I8217;m a huge foodie but when it comes to cooking,I8217;m simply useless. But,a while ago,I realised that it was high time that I learned the art8230;I needed to know how to cook if I wanted to be a independent woman in the true sense of the word. So I decided to make chicken stir-fry as my first culinary experiment. It turned out really well. I plan to cook dal-chawal next.
Daddy8217;s girl
My dad Mansoor Ali Pataudi makes the most wonderful kababs that are loaded with dry fruits.. His steak with fried onions is to die for. Mom on the other hand is famous for her khatta yellow dal.
Romance and meals8230;no thank you!
When I sit to eat I put on my stretchable pyjamas as I do not think of anything else other than food. If I am on a date then I8217;ll want to just focus on it,so the word 8216;romantic meal8217; is an alien concept for me.
French loaf
The last time I ate a scrumptious meal was when I was in Paris shooting for Chemistry. The meal comprised plain bread and cheese, but it tasted so good that the taste still lingers on my tongue. The ambience of the restaurant made the experience perfect.
Dining out
In Mumbai I visit fine-dining restaurant Indigo at Colaba. Royal China is also my favourite because they let you customise your Chinese meals. I don8217;t go there often though. Khane Khaas, which is close to my home in Bandra, makes the best tandoori chicken, palak mushroom and tandoori roti.
Snack time
I love snacking and have to munch on something every two hours. I like fruits, cereals, yoghurt or popcorn. I love chocolate-based cakes and pastries but I8217;m learning to make healthy desserts.
