MP engineer raided,Rs 5-cr assets found
REWA MP: The Special Establishment of Police of Lokayukta raided the residence of an Executive Engineer here and unearthed disproportionate assets worth Rs 5 crore,allegedly amassed by him. A raid was conducted on Friday at E E Mahendra Singh Yadavs residence in which movable and immovable properties worth Rs 5 crore disproportionate to his known sources of income were recovered,official reports reaching here said on Saturday.
Frame charges against Geelani aides: Court
NEW DELHI: A Delhi court on Saturday decided to put a close aide of Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani and three others on trial for allegedly running a hawala racket to fund banned terrorist outfit Hizbul Mujahideen in the Valley. District Judge H S Sharma ruled that the court would put the four on trial,ordering formal framing of charges against them on March 3 under various provisions of anti-terror law Unlawful Activities Prevention Act. The court gave green signal for framing of charges against Ghulam Mohammed Bhat,said to be Geelanis right-hand man,and three others.
Raman reshuffles five Cabinet ministers
RAIPUR: In a Cabinet reshuffle ahead of Budget session,Chief Minister Raman Singh changed portfolios of five ministers on Saturday. Rajesh Moonat was stripped of the Nagri Prashasan Department,which was given to Health Minister Amar Agarwal. Moonat was given charge of Commerce and Industry. Dayaldas Baghel was made Revenue Minister,while Irrigation and Water Resource Minister Hemchand Yadav was made Panchayat and Rural Department Minister. Ramvichar Netam was made Irrigation and Water Resource Minister.
