For a person who herself has had many issues to deal with,dont you think its rather presumptuous to play a judge?
On the contrary,the fact that I have had to struggle a lot in my life to be where I am makes me the apt person to understand and solve other peoples problems. I wont be handling cases that are legal or sub-judice,but those that are associated with day-to-day lives like child abuse,extramarital affairs,drug addiction and domestic abuse.

Have you been inspired by Kiran Bedis show Aap Ki Kacheri?
No. Many people have asked me this question but I havent seen that show at all. However,I have immense respect for that lady. In any case,as I told you,I wont be handling legal cases at all. I am an emotional person,so Ill look at the problems from the heart and solve it my way.

Do you think you can make the right decision if you go by emotions?
Not just emotions,I will look for truth and honesty too. And yes,at the end of the day it will be Rakhi ka insaaf.

Are you handling the cases alone or will there be someone to help you?
One Rakhi is equivalent to a thousand people. So there!

Whose idea was it to do this kind of a show?
It was UTV,Imagine and Sagarjis idea. I was also waiting for this kind of a show because I think it is one way of doing social service.

Why do you think people will come to you with their problems?
They will come to me because their problems will be solved in just an hour.

You still have to live down the image of not going through a marriage after the swayamvar. Wont that come in the way?
I had never said I will marry. Swayamvar was all about choosing the right boy and I did that. However,I had some doubts,which is why I went in for an engagement and not marriage. In Indian culture,a broken engagement is not as big a stigma as a broken marriage. The guy whom I chose portrayed one image in front of the camera but turned out to be completely different when he was away from the spotlight.

Considering what is happening with Rahul Mahajan,you must be thankful that you took the right decision.
Exactly. In India,a guy can have 10 marriages and nobody will point a finger at him. But I broke one engagement and there was a big hue and cry about it. I want to change this perception through my show. I want to propagate that guys and girls are equal.
