In a first,BJP legislator Jugal Kishore from Nagrota Assembly constituency was on Tuesday suspended from J&K Assembly for rest of the Budget session for attempting to assault a woman minister during Question Hour.

Incidentally,Kishore is the BJPs new state president.

He was angered when Social Welfare Minister Sakina Itoo asked BJP and Panthers Party MLAs agitated over governments reply on construction of flyovers in Jammu to walk out so that House could function normally. He tried to reach Itoos table but was eventually evicted.

The Speaker,following approval from the House,suspended Kishore for rest of the session.

Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree said the designation gives law enforcement “enhanced powers to combat a group that has instilled fear through violence and intimidation”.
