The encounter that began at Achagoza in south Kashmirs Pulwama district on Wednesday and led to the death of a Jaish-e-Mohammad commander ended with the killing of another militant on Thursday afternoon.
The police identified the slain militant as Mohammad Abass Nengroo alias Faisal. Nengroo joined the Jaish in 2011,motivated by Altaf Baba,the commander who was killed Wednesday,the police added. Before joining the Jaish,Nengroo worked as an over-ground worker for its commanders Sajad Afghani and Javed Ahmad Nengroo. Both of them have been killed, a police spokesperson said.
