New-age films never cease to shock. Take Abhinay Deos Delhi Belly. Although talks were rife that Delhi Belly was a sex comedy,it was a bit of a shock to hear the DK Bose track that sounds like an expletive when you say the words DK Bose over and over again, and also to see Imran Khan bed in a suggestive position in the promos. Shocking because one never expected to see the chocolate boy mouthing expletives, and as the first promotion of the film said, going down on a woman. Surprisingly, the newly-married Khan wonders what the fuss is all about. I am a very chilled-out actor, and have no inhibitions when it comes to playing a part. And I think the song is very cool, said the actor, who even went up on stage to sing the track,at the event to celebrate the success of DK.
Dressed in denims,a white shirt and half tie, the actor also thought that his grungy look in the film was striking, and that it was partly his creation. I passed out from the The Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute in New York and have studied make-up. It was very exciting for me to conceive something so catchy as the cut lip,the protruding eyes and the overall grungy look of my character in the film with the make-up artiste, remarked the actor cheerfully.
A sex comedy from a reputed production house Aamir Khan Productions is also a first of sorts,to which Imran retorts. I knew that the script would divide the audience, that some would love it and some would hate it. There was going to be no middle way. We have to take a risk sometimes, he chuckled.
