Hosabale did not suggest 3-child norm for Hindus

The RSS has been debating a suggestion to change the shorts to full-length trousers since some felt it deterred youth from joining shakhas.

The RSS has denied Sahsarkaryawah Dattatreya Hosabale ever advising three-child norm for Hindus to check demographic imbalance.

Speaking to mediapersons about the Kochi Pratinidhi Sabha of the party last week where Hosabale was reported to have made the statement,Vidarbha region chief of the organisation Ravi Joshi on Wednesday took a U-turn. Hosabale only responded to a media query about RSS view on the subject. He said the demographic imbalance is caused by three factors,infiltration,conversion and birth rate variations. Hosabale only said the issue should be discussed8230;

It wasnt an issue under discussion at the Kochi Pratinidhi Sabha, he said.

Asked about a change in the RSS uniform,Joshi said,The issue had come up for discussion three years ago. Some felt that there should be a change. It was then decided that the same uniform will continue and the issue would be taken up again after five years. So,two more years are still to go before the issue could be taken up again.
