Haryana man tries to 8216;sell8217; 3 daughters,arrested

The four accused have been arrested after a case was registered against them.

Days after a Punjab man sold his infant grandson on Facebook,a man arrested in Haryanas Rewari district Thursday after he allegedly tried to sell three of his four daughters for Rs 50,000 each.

The man,Ramesh Kumar,with the aid of three of his accomplices Sewa Ram,Ajit Singh and Ajay Kumar had struck a deal with certain persons identity withheld by the police to sell his three teenaged daughters. Ramesh lives with his four daughters and mentally challenged wife.

The incident was exposed when the eldest of Rameshs daughters reached the office of Rewaris SP and narrated her plight.

In her complaint,the 16-year-old girl has alleged that her father tortured her and her sisters and forced them to perform certain acts against their wishes. She said the sisters overheard Ramesh telling his friends that he has sold them off to a person for Rs 50,000 each and has received an advance for one of the girls.

Ramesh,a truck driver,was in financial crisis,the police said. The girl alleged that her father had entered into an agreement with one Kalu to sell three of them for Rs 50,000 each. We have already arrested all those named by the girl and are probing into the allegations. We recovered Rs 5,000 from Sewa Ram,which he claimed he took as loan from Kalu, an officer said.

The four accused have been arrested after a case was registered against them.
