After the iconic Munni of Dabangg,it was intentional the item number,Anarkali disco chali in Housefull 2 that has Malaika Arora Khan groomed to the Farah Khan choreography,had to be a complete contrast to the earlier song. Farah and I didnt want any comparisons drawn between the two numbers,so right from the start it was decided nothing would be even remotely close to Munni, says Malaika,adding that she is drawn to item numbers because she loves dancing.

Farah Khan,who has choreographed Malaika in four item numbers including Chaiya chaiya, says that her biggest asset is that she has been consistently fit.

Then her sense of rhythm is remarkable and so are her inputs in terms of costumes and moves. Its very easy to conceive an item number for her, says Farah.

Malaika,on the other hand,says she leaves herself completely in Farahs hands as she trusts her totally. Farah told me that the moves she had conceived this time would be on the lines of Jennifer Lopezs dances and I was game. Anarkali is a peppy and hummable track and the backdrop has a plush discotheque feel,very urbane and spunky. Akshay Kumar,Riteish Deshmukh,John Abraham,Shreyas Talpade,Mithun Chakraborty and Boman Irani are also there in the sequence, she says,adding that having done three successful item numbers with Farah,it was a bit of challenge to keep the track record going. A huge fan of all Madhuri Dixits scintillating songs,and Shilpa Shettys item numbers, Malaika says that she can never say no to Sajid Khan. I have been part of his Heyy Baby! and Housefull,both of which were hits,so he considers me his lucky mascot. There was no question of saying no to him, smiles Malaika.

The sexy model who has made a name for herself as the most desired item dancer smiles at the current trend of having item numbers with womens names. Everything is about a trend and a phase,and currently its women names for item songs,which I guess Munni started. It could be something else next.

Malaika,who has been a judge on dance shows like Nach Baliye,Zara Nachke Dikha and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa,says that some more TV shows are in the pipeline,but as of now shes neck deep in Dabangg 2. I love doing television shows because I really enjoy them. However,as of now, I have a lot on my plate as producer of Dabangg. I have to oversee everything,from the locations to the most difficult part of coordinating the actors dates! Its a stressful job, she smiles.
