Foreign Secy meets Pak High Commissioner

Foreign Secretary Shivshankar Menon on Tuesday met Pakistan High Commissioner Shahid Malik. The two are understood to have discussed the possible meeting between two foreign secretaries of the two countries ahead of the NAM summit in mid-July. Although there is a possibility of a similar meeting on the sidelines of the G-8 meeting,sources said that may not be as part of the structured meeting directed by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari. The two are also believed to have discussed the issue of non-bailable warrants issued to Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed and LeT’s Zakir Rehman Lakhvi.
