Food inflation eases to 9.50 pct

In the previous week,annual food and fuel inflation stood at 10.05 per cent and 12.79 per cent.

India8217;s food price index rose 9.50 per cent and the fuel price index climbed 13.13 per cent in the year to March 19,government data on Thursday showed.

In the previous week,annual food and fuel inflation stood at 10.05 per cent and 12.79 per cent.

The primary articles price index was up 12.98 per cent,compared with an annual rise of 13.53 per cent a week earlier.

The wholesale price index-based inflation ,the most widely watched gauge of prices in India,unexpectedly quickened an annual 8.31 per cent in February from 8.23 per cent in January.
