Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi x 3

First things first: Milind Somans ouster in the very first episode of Fear Factor Khatron Ke Khiladi x 3 was a huge dampener for moi and many others for sure!. To add to that,lack of chemistry between the boys and the stunning Priyanka Chopra in her teeny-weeny hot pants and almost zilch bonding between the men are just two reasons why KKK3 has been a so-so affair,so far!

Comparisons between the host of the earlier two seasons,Akshay Kumar and Priyanka are inevitable. Akshay scored with his chemistry with the girls,with his witty one-liners,his morale-boosting skills,his admonitions for a poor performance and last but not the least just the way he conducted the proceedings,making KKK immensely watchable. However,Priyanka falters on those very points. Maybe the guys are not taking her seriously enough she keeps whistling to make them lend her an ear and most of them look disinterested or maybe the guys would have been more comfortable with a male host,we dont know,but something is definitely missing there. Chivalry is definitely dead and buried!

The makers,to give them credit,have picked an interesting bunch of participants,but two episodes down,they have yet to crackle the show in terms of their performances too except for squash player Ritwik Bhattacharya,the others have been cold in terms of male-bonding too.

On the contrary,the girls from both the earlier editions were far more fun,fearless and an interesting lot. At least,they showed they cared!

As for the stunts,yes,the first and the third stunt were more dangerous,true to the shows claims. At the time of writing,we had just watched two episodes and found Priyanka better on Day 2 the nervousness had eased to an extent, so yes,there is hope. And guys,come on,show us that crackling chemistry you shared with her on the day of the press conference. Girl,ditch the effort to look and be oh-so-cool and you will be just fine and we are sure,you will rock it like your predecessor.

Verdict: Given the earlier seasons,we guess,KKK3 could do with some patience on the viewers part .
