Executive goes missing

Since he spoke to his father on his cellphone afternoon,Rahul has been searching for him.

Since he spoke to his father on his cellphone on Saturday afternoon,Rahul has been searching for him. Rahul,35,posted in Kolkata as an executive with a private telecom company, had on Sunday come to Dhanbad where his father Uday Shankar Chand 60 owned a flat and worked as executive director of Hotel Skylark.

Rahul has lodged a complaint with the Dhanbad police, stating that Chand and his driver Dilip were due to come to Kolkata via Asansol in his Hyundai Verna car on Saturday.

At 12.30 pm on Saturday,he told me he would reach Kolkata by 5 pm. When he did not arrive by night,I called him. His cellphone was switched off,and Dilips phone did not respond. I came to Dhanbad and learnt both had left for Kolkata on schedule, Rahul told police.

Rahul said Chands cell phone service provider had tracked his last call record from a tower in Kulti,60 km from Dhanbad. Dhanbad SP Akhilesh Jha said since there had been no ransom call,he had no ground to consider it a case of kidnapping.
