From matchsticks to the chairs used,from the quality of tents to the height of the media stage for a good view of the crowds
the BJP has at its disposal a list of suggestions to improve the rallies of its prime ministerial candidateNarendra Modi
The suggestions have been compiled by an NGO,Surya Foundation,set up by a member of the BJPs National Executive,Jai Prakash Agarwal. The Sunday Express found one such document at the Delhi BJP office.
A member of the Surya Foundation and one of its Kanpur coordinators,Kuldeep,said: We were asked to send suggestions and we contributed.
Besides,the BJP units which have already organised Modi rallies are also sharing experiences with each other. Former Delhi BJP president Vijender Gupta confirmed that the city chapter had sent its suggestions for Modis Kanpur meeting Saturday.
Among the tips by the Surya Foundation for excellent management of Modis rallies are:
*At one of the meetings,when Modiji went to light the earthen lamp,the matchstick could not be lit,it was wet. Keep good matchsticks and put camphor on incense to keep it dry.
*At another rally there were not enough pedestal fans. Modiji ko bhi pasina aa raha tha (Even Modiji was sweating).
* The media stage was set at the ground level and media were unable to witness the crowd. Put the stage 3 feet above the ground.
* At one of the rallies due to less security,people took chairs meant for VIPs,and VIPs had to listen to Modiji standing. At another rally,2,000 VIP cards were distributed and only 1,000 seats arranged for them.
*Display screens should be checked. Deploy men next to them,who must keep in touch with the tech team. At one of the rallies,Modijis speech and actions were displayed after 5-10 seconds. Isse shabd aur bhav badalta raha (This kept changing the meaning of what he was saying).
*Tents should be of good quality and clean. Fans should not make any sound. At one of the rallies,the tent in front of Modiji was so low that neither the crowd nor Modiji was able to see each other.
*At the Bhopal rally,people were dancing to patriotic songs. Deshbhakti ki masti ka vatavaran tha. Aisa hi karen (Patriotic fervour was created. Do the same).
