CRPF security cover for Jindal

The MHA has decided to provide the CRPF security cover to Congress MP and industrialist Naveen Jindal who already has a Delhi police team providing cover.

Jindal has been provided a Z category security cover after an assessment by MHA found that he could be attacked by Naxals whenever he is travelling outside Delhi. Sources said Jindal had been lobbying hard to get a CRPF security cover for his visits across the country. The CRPF being a Central force and with a presence across the country has been asked to deploy men to provide mobile security to Jindal for his travel outside Delhi as well as to industrial units located in Naxal-affected areas. Under this category,Jindal will have pilot and follow-on vehicles with commandos armed with sophisticated weapons.

The CBI has also registered a case against Jindal in the coal blocks allocation case.
