Constable held for raping,killing minors in Jharkhand

Deoghar police have arrested a constable for allegedly raping and killing two minor girls. The victims were daughters of policemen. Sudhir Kumar,a security guard at Police Lines,was arrested based on circumstantial evidence and has not yet confessed to the crime. He has been sent to judicial custody.

Deoghar SP Ranjit Prasad said they are awaiting forensic evidence to back their claims. A trail of blood was found from Kumars house to the pond where the girlss bodies were found. There will be more arrests… we are looking at not less than four arrests, the SP said.

The SP said it is not yet clear whether the girls were raped by one or more individuals: The cause of death was haemorrhage… the girls had broken skulls,nose and ribs.
