Congress says such yatras only help RSS

Seeking to play down senior BJP leader L K Advanis yatra starting on Tuesday,Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh on Monday said till the time Advani continued to be the prime ministerial candidate,there is no cause for concern for the ruling party.

The senior Congress leader said there was nothing significant about Advanis yatra as such yatras were also being taken out by Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and Baba Ramdev and the management of all these yatras was with the RSS.

Such yatras are helpful to the RSS as the Sangh and the BJP leaders are expert in collecting contributions for such ventures for their own benefit, said Singh.

Congress spokesman Manish Tewari said the BJP wanted to force a mid-term poll. The objective of the yatra is how 2014 can be fast-forwarded to 2012,something which is not going to happen, he said.
