Cong spokesperson alleges threat from party MP from Ujjain

Congress MP Premchand Guddu, whose son has become an official candidate of the party although the form B was not reportedly issued in his name, has courted another controversy.

Alleging that she faces a threat to her life from him,a party spokesperson has accused him of using muscle power against his detractors.

Noorie Khan,a spokesperson for five years and AICC member, accused the Lok Sabha MP from Ujjain of trading tickets. She accused him of manipulation while ensuring a ticket for his son Ajit Borasi from Alot SC constituency.

She said using his influence in Ujjain district he scuttled her chances though she was a strong contender for Ujjain North constituency where 60,000 Muslims reside. She said she would write to the DGP and SP Ujjain and seek protection because she has gone public with her allegations against Guddu.

Guddu did not make much of the allegation and claimed that it was common for those denied tickets to do so during elections.

The party has ignored the Rahul Gandhi formula and did not minorities and women their due,she said. For all the talk of looking after minorities, she said, the party has fielded only five Muslim candidates, including Arif Aqueel who has represented Bhopal North several times.
