Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has strongly condemned the alleged derogatory remarks by Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Rita Bahuguna against the UP Chief Minister Mayawati.

Bahugunas remarks are highly objectionable and the Congress should apologise to the nation for this, Chandrababu said in a statement here on Thursday. He alleged that Bahuguna made such reprehensible remarks against Mayawati only at the behest of the Congress party.

The UPA government has failed in preventing atrocities on Dalits. Now,Bahugunas remarks against a Dalit and woman Chief Minister have come as a shock, the TDP chief said.
