Charges serious,deserve answer: BJP

Battling allegations of wrongdoings in a business enterprise linked to its party president Nitin Gadkari,the BJP on Thursday sought to divert attention from itself,asking for an explanation from Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her son Rahul Gandhi over the charges levelled against them by Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy.

Swamy has raised serious allegations against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul. A private company was acquired by them and political funds were used to buy two big newspapers. A property worth Rs 1600 crore was amassed. All these charges deserve an answer. These are not small charges and should be clarified in the public domain, BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy said.
