Chandy writes to PM over Kochi Metro

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Wednesday wrote to the Prime Minister,the Delhi Chief Minister and the Union Urban Development Minister

Chief Minister Oommen Chandy on Wednesday wrote to the Prime Minister,the Delhi Chief Minister and the Union Urban Development Minister,expressing the state’s concern over DMRC’s indecision on taking up Kochi Metro work.

Chandy’s move came in the wake of DMRC stand that its board of directors’ consent was mandatory to take up projects outside Delhi.

In his letter to CM Sheila Dikshit,Chandy said she should prevail upon the Delhi government representatives in the DMRC to facilitate a decision favouring Kerala.
