CBI questions Butas son

Sarabjot Singh,son of National Commission for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe chairman Buta Singh,is being questioned by the CBI for his possible hand in bribery and hawala transactions.

A Nashik-based contractor had filed a complaint after which Sarabjot was detained. The CBI did not confirm reports that he was caught by the Mumbai wing of its Anti-Corruption Bureau while accepting a bribe in New Delhi.

It looks like a possible hawala transaction along with charges of corruption8230;. We cannot say anything till Friday morning, said Rishi Raj Singh,CBIs Joint Director western region. Sources said the bribe amount was around Rs 1 crore,adding that the complainant was also being questioned.
