Liquor row: Pak actress quits APML
Islamabad: Actress Atiqa Odho,a close aide of Pervez Musharraf,has resigned from Musharrafs All Pakistan Muslim League,after she was detained at an airport recently for having two bottles of liquor in her luggage. The development embarrassed APML as the consumption of alcohol by Muslims is prohibited in the country. Odho,a well-known television and film actress,was head of the APMLs womens wing.
Teen held for hacking US Interpol site
ATHENS: Authorities in Greece say they have arrested an 18-year-old Greek boy accused of hacking into US government websites and Interpol,as well as participating in credit card fraud. Officials said Wednesday that he was located after a two-year effort. Police seized computers as well as flares,cartridges and a homemade incendiary device.
Thief hides in suitcase in airport bus
BARCELONA: A thief squeezed into a suitcase stole from other bags while in the luggage compartment of an airport bus,police said. He had a partner who would place the suitcase in a bus from Girona airport to Barcelona. After hiding valuables in a small bag,he would be reclaimed by his partner, regional police said.
