SEOUL: North Koreas military warned the South that it was ready for battle over a disputed sea border,issuing a new threat on Friday that raised tension as US President Barack Obama started a tour of Asia. Obama said in an interview that the Norths nuclear and missile programmes posed a grave threat to Asian security and Pyongyang should return to dormant disarmament talks. Obama started his Asia tour with Japan.

Three LeT operatives held in Bangladesh

Dhaka: Three Pakistanis,suspected to be Lashkar-e-Toiba operatives,were arrested overnight in Bangladesh as police intensified a manhunt for militants who chalked up an LeT plan to attack the Indian High Commission and US embassy here,officials said. We arrested the three suspected LeT operatives last night from suburban Tongi and Uttara area of the capital city acting on a secret tip-off, the police said.

Military convoy near Kabul attacked

Kabul: A suicide car bomber attempting to strike an international military convoy on the outskirts of Kabul wounded at least 19 people today,including nine NATO service members,on a road that has become a frequent target. Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid sent AP a message saying the bombing was carried out by one of its militants.

Civilian attorney John Galligan said Maj Nidal Malik Hasan told him that he had no feeling in his legs and extreme pain in his hands.

Hardwicke,who directed the British actor in the first movie in vampire romance series,says she gave a stern warning to Pattinson before introducing him to Stewart,his onscreen love,the director told Time magazine in an interview. After I cast him,I told Rob,dont even think about having a romance with her8230; Shes under 18. You will be arrested, Hardwicke said. Hardwicke is not sure that they started dating while shooting the first film. In terms of what Kristen told me directly,it didnt happen on the first movie, she said.
