North Koreas Kim arrives in Russia

North Korean leader Kim Jong-il,is welcomed upon his arrival at the Bureya railway station,eastern Siberia,Russia. Kim crossed into Russia in his armoured train late Saturday at the invitation of President Dmitry Medvedev. The two are expected to meet later in the week to discuss the restart of nuclear disarmament talks.

JERUSALEM: Militants in the Gaza Strip bombarded southern Israel with rockets and mortars Sunday,striking an empty school and other targets. Israeli officials met to discuss how to proceed with retaliatory operations against Gaza militants.

Osama wife refusing surgery in Pak prison

LONDON: Osama bin Ladens wife,being held in Pakistan three months after he was killed,is refusing to undergo surgery in protest against her detention,her brother Zakariya was quoted by Sunday Mirror as saying. Amal al-Sadah was reportedly shot in the leg during the US raid in May.
