Kayani doesnt back no-first-use n-policy

washington: Pakistans army chief Gen Ashfaq Parvez Kayani does not support President Asif Ali Zardaris no-first-use nuclear policy,according to cables released by WikiLeaks. The major US concern has not been that an Islamic militant could steal weapon but rather the chance someone working in Pak govt facilities could gradually smuggle enough fissile material to eventually make a weapon.

Japan to halt three n-reactors

TOKYO: Japans PM Naoto Kan has instructed a utility to halt all three reactors at a power plant due to safety concerns,citing experts forecast of a 90 per cent probability of a major quake striking the region within 30 years. Chubu Electric Power Co has been asked to suspend two running reactors and a third shut for a regular inspection at Hamaoka plant,west of Tokyo.

Security services cleared over 7/7 deaths

LONDON: A coroner formally ruled on Friday that the 52 victims of the 2005 London suicide bombings were unlawfully killed,but cleared the security and rescue services of any responsibility for the deaths. Lady Justice Heather Hallett also ruled out any more inquests or inquiries into the worst-ever peacetime attacks on British soil.

Three Berlo aides may be indicted

ROME: Milan prosecutors have asked a judge to indict three aides of Silvio Berlusconi on charges of recruiting an underage girl and women for prostitution. Emilio Fede,a TV executive in Berlos media empire; Nicole Minetti,a local politician,and Lele Mora,a talent scout,deny wrongdoing.
