Israel to give harsh response to Hamas attacks
JERUSALEM: Israel on Sunday vowed to respond most harshly if Gaza-based militant outfit Hamas continued to fire rocket in its territories,as an informal ceasefire between sides appeared in sight following the Hamas-led strike of an Israeli school bus. Hamas deputy foreign minister,Ghazi Hamad,earlier said,We are interested in calm but want the Israeli military to stop operations.
Pak nuclear plant construction over
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has completed construction of the Chashma-II nuclear power plant with Chinas cooperation and the facility has started producing 300 MW of electricity on a trial basis. The project was completed ahead of schedule in a period of five years.
Plane crash kills 2 in Philippine city
BAGUIO: A small plane with six people on board crashed in a popular resort city in the northern Philippines Sunday,killing two people on board and seriously injuring four others,officials said. The six-seater Piper Aztec plane crashed in a hilly horse-riding trail in Camp John Hay.
Japan n-workers were not specialists
KAZO: Several people working at the Tokyo Electric Power Company,operator of Fukushima nuclear plant which was hit by the recent tsunami,were not employees or experts. They were untrained,temporary labourers who handle dangerous work lured by higher wages,said Japans Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency.
