IMEI number counterfeiting racket busted

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police Monday claimed to have busted a racket involved in counterfeiting International Mobile Equipment Identity IMEI numbers and arrested four persons. Police raided two mobile phone shops and collected evidence that IMEI numbers were being illegally implanted on Chinese-made Karbon mobile phones and arrested Shiju Jafar Khan,Shamsudeen,Arun Karthik and Shameer, Police Commissioner M R Ajith Kumar said.

Ktaka signs MoU for Bijapur airport

BANGALORE: Karnataka Monday signed an MoU with infrastructure development company Marg for construction of an airport at Bijapur. The company will invest Rs 200 crore in the project for which the government will give 728 acres of land,said Tourism Minister G Janardhana Reddy.
