CERC gives nod to set up National Power Exchange

new delhi: The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission has given the in-principle approval for setting up the National Power Exchange,which is expected to be operational anytime,a CERC official said.

Monet sells over 2 stake in Idea for R750 crore

new delhi: Monet Ltd,a part of global investment firm ChrysCapital,on Thursday sold over 8.34 crore shares of telecom operator Idea Cellular,amounting to over 2 per cent stake,for about Rs 750 crore.

AI gets Rs 265 cr; will clear interest burden partially

new delhi: The government today released Rs 265 crore to Air India to partially clear the interest burden to banks. Three days ahead of the bank declaring Air Indias debt as non-performing assets,the Finance Ministry today released the payment of Rs 265 crore,which will be paid to the banks by tomorrow, an official said.

Microsoft broadens software donation programme

Geneva: Microsoft has announced updates to its software donation programme that makes it easier for nonprofit organisations to get access to affordable technology. In India,the network partner for the programme is the Nasscom Foundations BiGTech.
