BlackBerry has all that I want,says MD Bharti AXA, Amarnath Ananthnarayan

1 The job: I get to meet a lot of bright,energetic young people full of ideas working in Bharti AXA who are eager to redefine insurance in India. It has also given me the opportunity to create something original in the only financial services business where one can really give back to society when they need it the most,that is through claims servicing.

2 The weekdays: The working day normally starts with a quick BlackBerry check in the morning before I go to the gym for an hour. Then,by around 8:30-9 am I leave for office. Invariably,if I am in Bangalore,the day consists of a series of meetings or conference calls with the various teams or reviews with my boss or a board meeting. The day extends to around 6:30-7 pm unless there is dinner with colleagues or visitors. If I am travelling,the day is completely different an early morning flight followed by meetings with clients,media,partners and the various branch teams to understand what we are doing well and where we can do better. I try to spend at least 5-6 days every month in our different branches to get to see and understand the ground realities to provide better solutions to them,apart from cascading messages that we would like as an organisation to give to them.

3 The weekend: Weekends are the time for unwinding,so I try to get as much sleep as possible,spend as much time with my kids and,if my kids are not around,then meet with friends or go for a game of golf. Sunday evenings are reserved for my mother and invariably spent watching a film or listening to a music DVD.

4 The toys: I used to love Pro Kennex tennis racquets and cannot do without my BlackBerry Bold 9790 or a music player. The BlackBerry has all that I would want as it has so many ways to be on top of both my personal and office life.

5 The logos: I like Sony as it represents quality and I always own a Sony camera. A brand that I do not own but would like to own at some point in time would be Jaguar.
