Cautioning that Mondays attack on an Israeli embassy vehicle here should not be viewed as a one-off incident linked to the conflict between Iran and Israel, the BJP has called for a thorough probe even as it criticised the government for its failure to solve nine terror strikes since 26/11.
BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said there was a clear link in the last few such attacks in the country. Yesterday was the second anniversary of the German Bakery blast in Pune. One of the targets there was the Chabad House located near the bakery. In the Mumbai attack too,the Chabad House there had been attacked. This shows a pattern which needs to be thoroughly investigated, said Javadekar.
Maintaining that not a single terror case since 26/11 has been solved, the BJP spokesperson criticised the government for trying to project the latest incident as a war between Iran and Israel. Let us not brush away this case. It is a serious matter… We should not make the mistake of treating yesterdays attack as merely a conflict between Israel and Iran, he said.
Javadekar said the lack of seriousness was seen when a Mumbai cop was detained by the Delhi Police which had failed to nab the real culprits. At this rate,Kasab will continue to remain in jail,Afzal Guru will never be hanged and terror cases will remain unsolved, he said.
