Shares in Bharti Airtel dropped more than 4 per cent on Friday afternoon,after rising more than 10 per cent in two previous sessions.
The top telecom firm won broadband spectrum in only four zones and said scarcity of slots and the auction format had resulted in extremely high price levels.
The company said in a statement it had secured spectrum in select circles to experiment with new technologies.
Earlier this week,Bharti Airtel said it completed its 9 billion acquisition of Zain8217;s Africa operations.
The stock was down 4.07 per cent at Rs 273.65 by 0847 GMT,while the main stock index was up 0.7 per cent.
