Replying to a petition filed against DGP Kuldeep Khoda by the families of three persons killed in Bhaderwah in 1996,the Jamp;K government on Saturday said that it would produce all the relevant documents before the court. The court has given two weeks time to the government to produce these papers.
As the proceedings in the case started in the court of Justice Hasnain Masoodi,Advocate General Ishaq Qadri asked for some more time to examine the papers. In order to assist the court properly,I want some more time for examining the relevant papers, Qadri pleaded.
Interjecting Qadri,Advocate Parvez Imroz, the counsel for the petitioners, asked him: Are you talking about the Crime Branch report of Shikha Goel? Qadri responded in affirmation.
Qadri also said he is not in the court to defend the respondents. I have been asked to assist the court and therefore I am here to assist the court, he said.
On September 23,the court had directed the AG to be present on September 30. However,as Qadri didnt appear on that day,he was directed to be present on next hearing. Justice Masoodi acceded to the plea of the AG and gave him two weeks time to submit all the papers relevant to the case.
