Sting operation

The Indian version of the popular adventure show,Fear Factor,is underway with the fourth season being shot in the scenic locales of South Africa. Bollywoods Khiladi,Akshay Kumar,who is hosting Khatron Ke Khiladi-4 ,was stung by a scorpion while performing a stunt recently.

Akki was apparently stung on his index finger and arm while testing the stunt before the contestants actually went for it. Akki even tweeted saying,Filming in Cape Town,only moments ago I was bitten by a scorpion! Later posing with the critters,the star said,Sunbathing with my new friend,the Scorpion King! Can you see the size of these things! What a pleasure,but what a sting :.

The show,which claims to have the most daring stunts ever in the latest season,is sure to put the contestants to the test,while Akki enjoys the most. I know this is sadistic but Im seriously enjoyin torturin my latest contestants on Fear Factor 48230; tweeted Akshay.

Painting a sensation

Ankita Joshi,a 27-year-old girl from Mumbai,has painted Salman Khan in a zero- gravity flight. Ankita is the first woman in the world to paint under zero-gravity conditions and being a big fan of the Dabangg actor,she chose Salman to start. She painted the beefy actor as Chulbul Pandey within two eight-second trajectories above Florida,USA,on March 27. She flew in a Rockwell Commander aircraft along with a doctor,under the supervision of space agency NASA. The aircraft nosedived to create zero-gravity conditions for about four minutes,when she painted. Painting in the space was not easy as everything from the canvas to the crayon was floating and Ankita ended up banging her head on the ceiling a lot of times. The painter recently displayed her work at Mumbai8217;s Jehangir Art Gallery from April 21 to 27. She is hoping to show the actor her creation and also gift it to him.

All in the family

Padmini Kolhapure is happy that the kids in her family are making a foray into films. After her niece,Shraddha Kapoor,who was seen in Teen Patti and the recently released Luv Ka The End,Padminis son Priyank is all set to become an actor. He has finished his acting course in New York and is waiting for some good roles to come his way.

The actress is glad that she along with her producer husband Tutu Sharma will be able to guide Shraddha and Priyank into taking up some good offers in the film industry. She,however,says that times have changed and there is so much competition now. There were only a handful of heroines during my time and all of us had enough work, Padmini recalled. She is hopeful that Shraddha and Priyank will be able to face the competition and make a mark for themselves.

Disappointed

Javed Jaaferi is remembered for his kiddie act in Dhamaal. While he had enjoyed playing that character,he is a wee bit disappointed with his character in its sequel Double Dhamaal. He complains,The other actors,Arshad Warsi and Riteish Deshmukh were already smart in the first part,and now they are even smarter in their role of the con men. As for me,since I play a kiddie character,my role is just like before,throughout the film.

However,while there was no heroine in Dhamaal,the sequel has two female actress Kangna Ranaut and Mallika Sherawat. A thrilled Jaaved says,At least this way there is some fun. There is liveliness on the sets with the actresses around. He stated that since Kangna has a major role,they get to interact with her a lot,while Mallika has the majority of her shots with Sanjay Dutt. That is quite sad!

I t is said that Riteish Deshmukh is a genuine person and knows how to bond and maintain relations in B-town. This can be witnessed at various Bollywood functions where he is often seen interacting with other actors.While many people might wonder how he does that,we feel it is his humble nature that has helped him maintain amicable relations with his colleagues in Bollywood. Not only does Riteish showcase his warm nature in the Bollywood circuits but also with the journalists who come to meet him. Recently,after a long interview,Riteish suddenly started walking away after he was called by the director. While the journalist was left confused,the actor returned and apologised profusely before finishing the interview. Ritiesh is one grounded actor,for sure!

Saif Ali Khan may be a man of the world taking major decisions when it comes to his films especially his home production,Agent Vinod. But when it comes to taking a decision on what to wear,it is girlfriend Kareena Kapoor who is the boss. It is Kareena who always gives me tips on what to wear for which occasion. This would include my shirt,jeans and shoes, laughed the chhote nawaab recently at an event that was held to announce his attendance at the Cannes Film Festival.
